Today was tutorial day. Here are my notes-
- Explore how colour works, colour theory, UNDERSTAND colour.
- Different processes of putting colour down. What's available? Let the colour drive the work
- Express emotion in colour
- Start working with a limited palate
- MOVE OUT OF COMFORT ZONE!
Matts notes-
- Keep asking questions of your results.
- Research colour ways and palates
- google - "How colour works in comics and illustration"
- How are these skills helping you to be 'strategic' in your Visual Communication.
So basically stop seeing everything with a black outline and a white background. There was a really positive thing that Graham said to me (although it was meant as a criticism I'm going to take it as a complement), he said that my drawings are too good that they distract from and colour used. He basically wants me to stop thinking about the image that I am making and start considering how moods and images can be made from colour. But he thinks I'm a good drawer so that made me happy :)
