I need to find my TONE OF VOICE!
Matt keeps saying this to me and for some reason it's something that I always forget about. I get wayyyyy to caught up in drawing pretty pictures. I need to start thinking about how my images communicate.
His notes-
Black and White - balance (Like Iain Mcarthur- there's always a perfect balance of b/w)
Visual Devices - Line Symmetry and Pattern
TAKE OWNERSHIP
DRAW LOTS MORE.
He said that there should always be reasons behind what I'm drawing. He asked me why I wanted to draw tea pots, and I had no answer. I said that I enjoy drawing owls because of their eyes, I love their stare and how intense there looks are. Half the time they look really pissed off, and this is where we stayed.
OWLS LOOKING PISSED OFF - why? how? Strategic visual communication
Artists to look at -
McBess
Drew Millward
Dan Munford
